“Keep up the good work, Mrs. Holgin!”

Mrs. Juanita Holgin came to Edgewood Rehab and Care Center following a hospitalization for COPD.  Upon admission, she presented with decreased strength, reduced activity tolerance, and balance deficits which resulted in caregiver assistance with all mobility and self-care task.  

Physical, Occupational and Speech therapy were initiated to identify needs and specialized a treatment plan to transition Ms. Holgin back home to live with daughter. Mrs. Holgin is making great progress throughout her rehabilitative stay, improving strength, endurance and balance while increasing her independence with activities of daily living, and transfers without caregiver assistance.

Mrs. Holgin is working towards meeting her goals and will discharge back home with daughter and family.
