Success Story – Aug – Michael Peterson

by | Oct 28, 2022 | blog

Mr. Michael Peterson came to Edgewood for therapy, after a post-surgical hospitalization from a recent hip fracture, which occurred from a fall at home. He was only able to bear partial weight through his left leg and required a great deal of assistance with everyday task.

He shared with the team that his goal is to walk within his home using a walker.

After working with our therapy team for a little under two weeks he can get out of bed, stand with a walker, stand pivot transfer, perform wheelchair pushups with supervision and requires little assistance from staff. He is currently focusing on his standing and transfers and hopes to progress further when he is approved to bear more weight on his left leg.

Keep up the hard work Mr. Peterson!
